The organisation is a group of 3 sister concerns and works in the field of Solid Waste Management, Green Cover Management and Waste Water Treatment. Through its work, CARPE has overhauled waste systems of 14 cities, towns and villages in India and abroad. The 50 people strong has a presence in Maharashtra primarily. I worked with the team to strengthen their internal team capacities, introduce PMS, build tech based data capturing and monitoring systems. Teach for India is a 2 years fellowship where young professionals are placed in low income private schools and government schools. As a part of this fellowship I taught grade 2 and 3 children in a government school in Mumbai. Being the first fellow to be placed in the school, my role as a Teach for India fellow included creating lesson plans for all subjects. I was also responsible for relationship building with local government authorities, establishing a community library and training the school teachers in designing engaging lesson plans. Show less
