Serves as a Military Human Resources Specialist within the G1 Section of the 29th Infantry Division, a Major Subordinate Command level organization. The MSC exercises control over units located throughout a large geographic area. The 29th Infantry Divison will exercise Command and Control of full-spectrum Infantry, Engineering, Fires, and Logistic support Operations and provide technical reach-back in support of Combatant Commanders, US Federal Agencies and other support as directed by DOD to International, National and State agencies. Primary duties consist of: Performing a wide range of military personnel duties in support of the Commander, the HQs staff, and subordinate elements geographically dispersed throughout CONUS as well as any forward deployed forces, and providing specialized knowledge and expertise to supervisors and managers throughout the HQs as well as military management representatives from Brigade and Group levels down to the Battalion and Company level S1 offices. Responsible for completion of a variety of personnel actions in multiple military HR program areas, including evaluations, awards, separations, retirements, personnel actions, rating schemes, retention boards, and promotion/selection boards. Uses personnel management systems such as iPERMS, e-MILPO, and RCAS systems. Manages the completion of officer and enlisted evaluation reports and ensures accuracy prior to submission to Human Resources Command (HRC) and the Enlisted Records Evaluation Center (EREC). Maintains knowledge of current publications on military personnel operations and ensures the currency of publications for Officer/NCO evaluations, promotions and awards. Interprets and implements a wide variety of laws, DA and MACOM regulations, pamphlets and related programs administered by HQDA and MACOM. Maintains liaison with action officers at HRC, MACOM, FORSCOM, and subordinate organizations and activities regarding various personnel actions and/or special projects. Show less
