I feel honored to write this recommendation for Ms. April Laster. I hired April in 2015 to help me implement a well-organized Document Management System and a robust Training Program at Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. April is compassionate about her work and stands up for what is right. She has strong work ethics and morals and will go out of her way to lend a helping hand and do what is right. April demonstrated her creative, talents every time she trained employees on Good Documentation Practices to ensure there was a clear understanding for accuracy, reliability, and data integrity. She emphasized contemporaneous recording of all data even for R&D employees by explaining them the benefits and rewards of doing the right thing even when no one is looking. April further demonstrated her creativity by designing a hand-on training so Subject Matter Experts and Scientists could clearly understand the importance of recording data and clear instructions and the consequences of poorly written data and work instructions. When it comes to cGMPs, April knows when to say no. She will coach, mentor and advise, to ensure the best practices are followed using a common sense approach and keeping patient focus as the number one priority. April maintained a running inventory of all documents, ensured back-up copies were readily available to the end users of documents and to auditors in a timely manner. She built strong relationships with document storage and scanning service providers to ensure archival, retrieval and record retention standards met applicable, phase appropriate regulatory requirements and industry standards. April is honest, intelligent, hardworking, trustworthy and will never give up no matter what the odds are to do what is right. I wish April the very best in all her future endeavors and her business.
