April is a remarkable person and I owe her a recommendation for all of her hard work, dedication, patience, and incredible talents. When you're the head of an organization like a nonprofit, you need the right people on your team or you will have to work much harder, and if you're in the nonprofit world you already know that its a hard industry. In the 7 years that I worked as the head of two different nonprofits, I experienced many different scenarios as an employer - some were not so savory and some were experiences that I still thank God for. April falls into the latter category and goodness am I so thankful that she applied for our operations position. This young lady has everything you want or need when it comes to operations and SUCCESS. She is wicked smart, and she quietly, passionately, and effectively cleans up your space and makes everything make SENSE (not just physical space, but your office vibe, too!). In a nonprofit office things can get a little out of control with all the 16+ hour days and you can feel pretty upside down. Enter April: calm, cool, collected, no matter the situation, she is there to support, execute, and make sure we all end up in the right place. April has such a tremendous passion for children, for education, and for her community. It made sense to me when we started a podcast, to have her featured as our Education Spotlight host and to let her run free with the project and make it her own. I am so proud of all her hard work and her truly exceptional accomplishments with the podcast, and with everything she has done at the Chamber Choir. If you need a professional that will work HARD, with poise and grace, and will jump into unknown territory and shine, April is your person. She is a wonderful confidante and is possibly the most professional, respectful, and truly caring person you can meet. I was blessed to have her on my team and recommend her for ANYTHING she wants to pursue in the future! She has a heart of gold.
