We recently had Aoife deliver a talk to all of our team on Imposter Syndrome and I would highly recommend her. She is an excellent speaker who explained the concept in a simple and effective way. Aoife gave our team practical and helpful tools and advice to overcome the effects that imposter syndrome may pose, which will help us all to get the most out of our goals and abilities. Brilliant webinar which I would recommend to any company hoping to grow their employees' confidence.

Aine Mc Manamon

We were very fortunate to have Aoife deliver an interactive workshop on Navigating Imposter Syndrome for our recent JCI Ireland National Convention. Our members found it incredibly beneficial and were blown away by Aoife's approach to this subject. She started important conversations around the subject, and inspired our members, while giving them practical tips that they could implement immediately. Aoife is a pleasure to work with and has a vast range of topics that she can cover as a speaker so we look forward to inviting her to work with us again in the future. - Áine Mc Manamon, 2022 JCI Ireland National President

Aoife ran our Imposter Syndrome program on the Give Learn platform. The sessions went very well and we would recommend her to anyone who was looking for her to present both in person or virtually. We look forward to working with Aoife again in the future. James

Client satisfaction was at the core of this newly created role. I was challenged to devise a way of measuring and improving satisfaction with our service, which resulted in an improvement from 3.3 to 4 out of 5 in our scores through increased efficiencies and speed of response. As a member of the Ireland Management Team, I was also responsible for presenting these results to the UK & Ireland board.I also navigated through a major restructure within the business, setting the vision for the team in alignment with the corporate vision, managing uncertainty, change, staff retention. During this time I also recruited, trained, and mentored a total of 8 staff during this period. This included job design, job description, interviewing, staff on-boarding, retention.I was delighted to be involved in a project related to Employee Engagement using the Gallup Q12 questionnaire to firstly identify issues and then work with teams in identifying and implementing solutions to improve engagement and ways of working.I successfully launched 3 global Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to the Ireland business, as the executive sponsor in Ireland. It gave me great pleasure to see increased levels of engagement and memberships of these groups, promoting awareness of the benefits of diversity in the workplace.

I am passionate about bringing out the best in people, and this was turned into a reality when I became a team manager of 4 people. I was responsible for team recruitment, performance reviews, professional development. I coached and mentored three of the team members through to promotion. In addition, the responsibility for revenue grew to €5m. Forecasting accuracy became of the utmost importance, and using spreadsheets to plan proposals, with the support of the team, we grew the revenue by 1.2% which was the highest growth of any team.

After travelling in the USA and South America for a year, I took this role in Nielsen when I returned to Dublin. In addition to analysis and story-telling, the primary focus of this role was client retention through high level service delivery and contract negotiations. I successfully retained all of my clients and in addition grew revenue on my accounts by 12% by increasing sales to €1.2m.

I took on this role after moving from Perth and after some brief travel around Australia. This role gave me an appreciation for a clearly defined brief – a big emphasis of the role was to ensure the brief was clear and I worked closely with clients to make sure this was the case. Once the clear brief was in place, I kept clients up to date throughout the analysis process, raising any uncertainties along the way to ensure there were no surprises.Another important aspect of delivering results to clients was condensing the story into bite-size chunks. It takes longer to structure an argument into a story rather than share every piece of analysis that has been conducted. This was a real game-changer in my work with clients and facilitated much more action-based recommendations and helped clients take clear actions rather than decipher those actions for themselves.I left this role to move back to Ireland, by way of USA and South America for a year of indepedent travel.

I took on this temporary role after 6 months of travelling in South East Asia. This opened my eyes to a whole new industry, got me out of my comfort zone, but also allowed for the utilisation of transferable skills. I was able to learn new software and processes quickly, something which stands to me to this day. I worked on all parts of the recruitment process, from start to finish, which meant management of various stakeholders as well as effectively and efficiently multi-tasking. I was offered to stay on in this role, but chose to move on to Sydney in line with my original plans.

I moved to London in 2006, something I had always wanted to experience. This kickstarted my global career aspirations. It also up-levelled the strategic nature of the client relationships I was building – we were in this together for the long haul! For the first time, I got to deliver high-impact presentations to senior client audiences which facilitated the growth of both of our businesses. It also opened my eyes to what I always wanted to do – analyse complex data, and present it in an engaging way by telling stories.Once the passion was ignited, this led to a quick promotion only after a short time in the business. To this day, this is still one of my favourite roles. I only left because of a personal aspiration to travel the world and work in Australia.

As one of 14 hires in the newly created category developer roles, my job was to increase visibility of the brands in our portfolio. I achieved this by calling in to off-trade clients in my area. This role allowed me to builder long-term win-win relationships with clients. I proactively shared knowledge with the team and wrote reports on competitor activity. Sales in my area increased by 22% in the space of a year due to increased visibility of products as well as strong relationsips with clients.

As a result of the success I had with Student Pages magazine, I was asked by the Student Pages founder to set up the Ireland business for his new flagship magazine, Inside+Out, a yearly listings guide aimed at the youth market. This role had me involved in all aspects of the magazine – business development, distribution, listings management. It also allowed me to hone my negotiation skills and as a result I had the highest average price paid per page of advertising of all sales staff. This was a temporary role during the summer months selling ad space to businesses around Dublin for the annual publication of Student Pages Magazine. I was recruited to this position on the back of the success I had at building the brand as my role of Editor of the online magazine. This role gave me an excellent grounding in commercial awareness, which I have carried with me throughout my career. This role facilitated self-motivation, working to targets and deadlines, excellent organisation skills, negotiation skills, initiative, creativity, flexibility as well as building solid relationships with clients.

    • Student Pages - Online Magazine Editor
      • Jan 2002 - Aug 2002

This role was a voluntary position writing features and reviews on the popular online publication of Student Pages website. In addition to writing, sharing my views and knowledge of Dublin, I also curated and managed contributions from a team of writers. This lead to being recruited to a sales position for the annual magazine publication. I was able to tap into my creativity and revelled in my ability to share knowledge and have my voice heard.
