I worked as a placement student for 3 months within the production facility. I was involved with reviewing and assessing documentation which included logbooks, standards operational procedures (SOP's) and other records. The objectives was to record any omissions, mistakes, missing signatures etc and report to the general manager therefore attention to detail was essential. In addition, I was involved in developing a safety sheet for each chemical used in specific laboratories. This was to be used as a reference for the production operatives working within the suites. I worked as an assistant systems engineer on the infrastructure team. I was primarily first level support on a busy help desk and supported approximately 400 employees within LIT. My duties involved: installing hardware and software systems, maintaining/repairing equipment, troubleshooting a variety of computer issues, offering technical support; on-site, via email and phone, delivering allocated project tasks on time and developing my personal and professional skills and knowledge.
