-Participated in a research project on how China's trade ban of importing "foreign waste" in 2017 influenced recycling rate of OCC (Old Corrugated Cardboard) from 2017 to 2021, and proposed Sino-US joint policies to safeguard the supply and recycle chains under the mentorship of Professor Sun Sheng. -Identified statistic flaws in current definition of recycling rate applied by US government and UN, offered a new method to calculate global recycling rate with corresponding algorithms, and further calculated recycling rate of OCC for each country per year. -Collected and analyzed data by using Excel, applied the "shell-balanced" model and topology in redefining recycling rate, and analyzed the result by using python.
