I took an internship at Vienna office DLA Piper Weiss-Tessbach Rechtsanwälte GmbH, starting as an Erasmus intern, after two months continued as a Trainee. Tightly scheduled daily work in the global law firm's four-lingual environment (German, English, Croatian, Slovene) equipped me with rich interpersonal experience.I prepared various legal opinions (capacity, execution, compliance...), parts of memorandums, performed researches, cooperated in other activities such as preparation of pitches etc.I deepened my knowledge of business law, especially in - transactions (e.g. syndicated loan facilities, restructuring, M&As, asset and non-asset based securities (e.g. promissory notes/bills of exchange), derivatives);- regulatory&compliance (e.g. banking licenses and EEC passporting in banking, factoring/receivables financing, upstream and cross corporate guarantees, leveraged financing of acquisitions, public procurement under Austrian and Slovenian law, acquired rights in a transfer of business);- incorporation of a company;- real estate (condominium, means of security);- as well some other field-specific matters such as Tax (VAT).- apart from the above mentioned daily encountering in a multilingual enviroment, by providing numerous translations I also improved my interlinguistic skills.

The team obtained € 22.000 for the project »Concetto spaziale: the Sale of an IP–protected Product to the U.S.« in cooperation with D.I.F.F. d.o.o., the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia and an academic mentor from the Faculty of Law.In the course of the project, we prepared a multidisciplinary legal/economics/designer study on the sale of premium spectacles to the USA.We assessed U.S trademark registration and copyright matters, performed a DD on potential conflicts in registration and advertising of the product etc.
