  www.graindesignuk.comGRAIN is a collaboration between Newcastle based furniture designer and maker Michael Armstrong and artist/designer Anya Kovalieva. At GRAIN we focus on producing bespoke interior objects with commitment to natural materials and traditional methods of woodwork. We take pride in hand crafting our products to the highest standard, sacrificing modern production technologies in favour of slower and more personal processes. This drives our philosophy of sustainable, timeless and humble designs and practices. We only use FSC certified hard woods for our products. Aesthetically we are looking for a balance between a modern, industrial feel and elegant, refined lines, unfettered by trends and fashions, producing designs to last and be loved for decades.

We've also been given great training at making cocktails, which is incidentally my favorite part of the job!
