I directly reported to Any Buberman. She is a rare person to find and work with. She was assertive and compassionate with communication among employees out in the field and in the office. She showed initiative in pushing forward with pending projects that needed to be completed but was challenging since the pandemic left many of the operation short staffed. Even against the odds, Anya never lost focus of the end goal. I'm glad to have assisted her throughout the operation. Anya is the type of person that you come across in your career and take their wise words with you for the rest of your life.

Anya Buberman was my supervisor at the West Brooklyn Census Office from May to September 2020. I can say without hesitation that she is the best boss and supervisor I have had in twenty years of working in education and office administration. She is a driven and focused individual who quickly recognizes what is needed to achieve a project’s goals. Her ability to determine a person’s strengths and use them towards the project was uncanny. She was superb at anticipating next steps and assigning tasks to those under her supervision. We counted all the residents of 315 group facilities in West Brooklyn on schedule, despite losing 2 months to the pandemic. It is largely due to her intelligence and savvy understanding of non-profit organizations that we were successful against overwhelming odds. Anya is friendly, open, helpful and courteous to a fault, which served her well at the Census. I admire her maturity and tenacity as well – she overcome significant adversity early on, when many people in our office treated her unfairly due to her relative youth and perceived inexperience. She quickly proved that she was as skilled and equipped to handle difficult projects and situations as any of her more experienced colleagues, if not more so. She operated well within a strict hierarchy and was always able to get access to the resources we needed. I am proud to recommend Anya, and can say without hesitation that she would be an outstanding asset for any organization. I am happy to serve as a reference and would be willing to speak for her at any time.
