  Navigation aid for the Blind Extensive research was done in the understanding the pain areas of the blind and the ways by which technology can contribute in tackling those issues. A better obstacle detection algorithm was developed using X-box Kinect sensor which was programmed and interfaced using Labview. The Robot (prototype) also had a GPS module which guided the Blind person in terms of GLOBAL navigation, outside home. The user (blind person) received the input through the system by a mechanically made pressure giving system, which use to give different pressures for different situations. It was controlled using servo motor mechanism which was connected using Arduino and Labview which were interfaced together. Show less

It aims at developing a navigational robot which will move on the ground helping the blind person to navigate his way inside his own house, the robot was made using Ultrasonic sensors and voice processing system. The robot guides the user his way through the voice commands. The ultrasonic sensors are used in this robot to increase the accuracy, efficiency and the range of the robot.
