  Leading multiple procurement projects in the health sector for equipping new government hospitals with the right machines and equipment as per the requirements. Recent projects included setting up new Emergency and Super Specialty blocks in hospitals already operational. The project budgets ranged from $10-20 million.I managed and lead my 10 member team during the various procurement stages such as review of equipment finalisation report; evaluation of tenders and supporting documents; evaluation and selection of the vendors; contracts finalization; contract monitoring; leading review meetings with the stakeholders; post-supply inspection(s) jointly with customers’ end-user team, and finally handing over the setup once the project execution was completed. The locations of these projects were in India and Myanmar.

  Successfully executed the projects for new government hospital in India, National Trauma Centre in Kathmandu – Nepal and procurement of medicine under CGHS Scheme, New Delhi. I streamlined the process for equipment planning (equipment list identification and required specifications thereof); Key contributor in finalization of tender documents, rollout of eTendering process, evaluation of the proposal(s) received; evaluation and selection of the vendors, contract monitoring and review of Third-Party inspection report(s), post-supply onsite Inspection(s) jointly with customers’ end-user team, and finally handing over the setup to client. With rigor and robust planning I ensured timely completion of the work for National Trauma Centre at Kathmandu Nepal and within few months of completion, helped save hundreds of lives post the tragedy of severe earthquakes in Nepal in 2015. In another project within the remit of Central Government Health Scheme in New Delhi, completed a complex project with lot of external dependencies for ensuring availability of medicine on time to patients at the various medical centers run under the scheme.

  Handled Procurement Project for Building Capacity of 80 Food and Drug Testing laboratories situated all across the region of India. Managed procurement for more than 100 different equipment for these laboratories. My primary responsibilities were post contracting monitoring of supply installation of equipment, contract dispute resolution, handling arbitration matter in one contract with legal team, project team members and World Bank technical expert for onsite review of the work done by the vendors. I also was accountable and managed consignee feed-back on the working of the equipment and training requirement for the use of high end equipment, co-ordinate handing over of the equipment to the consignee etc. with high-end sophisticated equipment the 80 laboratories could build the capacity to do testing of the Food and Drug samples at Par with International Standards.I was the primary analyst for the feasibility study of improving the health service delivery at Parirenyatwa Hospital in Zimbabwe and also for the pre-feasibility study for the upgradation of the two Hospitals in Myanmar.

  During my tenure as a Project Manager I managed the projects in Kabul, Afghanistan for Habibia School rehabilitation which received accolades for on time completion despite the political upheavals happening in the country at that time. I also executed upgradation of two departments in the University of Myanmar and World Bank funded Technical Education Quality Improvement (TEQIP) Programs for engineering colleges and polytechnics.
