It is my great pleasure to provide this recommendation for Mr. Anupam Kundu regarding his graduate work at USC. Mr. Kundu was an outstanding graduate student at USC. In the fall 2009 semester I was his instructor for two classes—EMCH 508 Finite Element Analysis in Mechanical Engineering and EMCH 516 Controls in Mechanical Engineering, and in the spring 2010 semester I was his instructor for another class, ENCP Continuum Mechanics. Mr. Kundu impressed me immensely with his outstanding performance in the three classes. He was at the top of these classes. He did consistently well in all class work, including homework, exams and projects, and he received A’s in all three classes. My impression of him is that he is highly motivated, intelligent, and hardworking. He communicates very well both orally and in written form. He is also a very friendly and mature person.

Anupam is an engaged developer and works well in a team. He is polite, punctual, and fully involved in his work. While at ANSYS, he showed a keen interest in learning and applying his skills in new areas, and he always was excited to start new projects in unfamiliar code.
