The study outlines the development of affordable housing policies in India from 1947 to 2018 drawing linkages with the macroeconomic policies of the country. It uses Sustainable Livelihood Assessment Framework to assess the affordability of housing on the beneficiaries of affordable housing programmes of the Government of India.
