  With high rises and slums coexisting through the city, when we saw Mumbai had a large population of the educated affluent with a social conscience, we were convinced it presented a perfect opportunity for a citizen inspired movement for social good. Children from financially challenged backgrounds often lack the kind of attention and care given to children in educated homes. Hence we thought connecting them to loving and concerned adults who wanted to teach them not only to learn better but also to be good human beings would be a great idea. Today for an hour every day, 700 volunteers; stay at home mothers, grand mums, a few freelancers and retired men assisted by children from affluent schools and colleges who love the idea of sharing their good fortune join us in shaded corners of parks and promenades across Mumbai to teach English Math and Values to 2200 children across 20 locations in Mumbai to school going children from slums.
