  After several years in Enoro, it was time for a change. The change happened when I changed the company I work for to Solteq. But that was it. The change I mean. Same industry, same good old utilities and partly the same customers as well. But the product is different, people are different and the ways of working are different, even though the tasks, problems and solutions are very much similar. I feel good and renewed, but I don't have to start from scratch since I already know a lot about Datahub, GDPR and other BIG changes happening in the industry. You could say that it feels like I'm Home.

  Once Analytics side was recognized as it's own product area, CIS team (Customer Information Systems) was consolidated into one single team comprising of all aspects of the product life. All different tasks starting from development and reaching to support for online customers and everything in between is now under the same team.I'm leading the product development from technical side and answering the hardest and most problematic questions and situations from our developers during development or testing as well as from customers using the software in their production environments. I work also jointly with the Product Owner to plan and execute the development of the CIS products area.Since I have no more HR responsibilities, I have also time to do some coding, scripting and debugging myself, which is a nice change of pace after the team leader position.

  Recently established new team is a combination of Customer Information System product area and Analytics, which is a new product area in Enoro offering. This new product area offers solutions and tools for data mining and information gathering and presentaion to support decision making process.I'm managing the team consisting of almost 10 people located in Helsinki as well as abroad. My responsibilites include daily support for the team members in their tasks, small ad-hoc specification work when deveolping the solutions as well as HR responsibility, to name a few. We also have quite a large variety of Enoro offered products under our responsibility, which makes the team sparse and composed of many different talents and professionals from experienced senior C++ coder to junior web developer.It has been a challenging start leading the new team, but it has also been VERY educational and social experience and so far I have liked to work more with people than software.
