During my own time at school, I studied under the guidance of some great teachers who increased my confidence and encouraged me to develop as an individual in all areas of my life. In turn, I am passionate about training and working as a teacher because I want to inspire young people to be enthusiastic about learning and achieving in life. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in Sport Science and Physiotherapy in Spain (2013), I was completing a Masters degree in Secondary Education, specialising in Physical Education. Meanwhile, I did teacher training placements in two schools, working with children and young people aged between 6-20 years old, teaching both English and Physical Education. I planned and led classes for the students, whilst incorporating feedback from my mentors to improve my teaching skills. Working in the schools I learnt the importance of applying empathy and patience, whilst the high-pressure environment enabled me to develop good skills to cope under stress. I enjoyed these placements as every day presented new challenges, enabling continuous learning and development. I am trilingual, speaking fluent Spanish, Italian and English. I know, from my own experience, how learning languages can increase opportunities for young people. I currently have the opportunity to teach my native Spanish language and share my culture with young people. I believe that the skills and experience outlined above, will enable me to succeed as a physiotherapist/ physical trainer in the UK.

I worked as a physiotherapist for a private company, treating patients who presented with musculoskeletal problems. After undertaking an initial assessment, I worked with patients to plan their treatment programme. My role involved patient education including teaching exercises to do at home, correcting posture in the clinic so the patient could acquire healthy habits. I also gave advice about nutrition and physical activity.I paid attention to my communication skills and was empathetic.
