Donna Stride
Tony and I worked together for a year and a half at Tetra Insights. Tetra was a startup, so there were long hours and commitments, and Tony rose to the challenge. He helped break down requirements, do the design and architectural work, and was very thoughtful throughout the process. He is very strong technically, and passionate about what he does. He loves helping other teammates learn. That was evident by how he was also working at Havana university teaching classes, while working at Tetra. I’m excited to see what comes next for him, he’d be an incredible co-worker on any team.
Michael Ross
I was fortunate to have Antonio as my full-stack technical lead at an early stage startup. I call out startup, because such companies can be extremely demanding, often requiring significant pivots in very tight timeframes. This can place significant stress on an engineering team (technically and culturally). It is in environments such as this that Antonio's broad skills stand out. As a team / cultural leader, his is mature, measured and skilled; always willing to take the time to encourage and support his team members. His innate ability here cannot be undervalued. Technically, his mastery of modern architectures, components and frameworks allows him to work the entire stack as needed - directly or in mentoring a team member. We had much success in our technical endeavors at this company while maintaining a healthy culture. Antonio was key to that.

He teaches 2 main courses: Introduction to Programming and Programming Languages for first and third year students respectively. In Introduction to Programming we teach C# language, introduction to algorithms (greedy and recursion algorithm) and data structures (trees, queues and stacks). In Programming Language, he teaches several general key concepts like simple and multiple inheritance (in memory representation, advantages and disadvantages), Garbage Collection, concurrent programming, design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Dependency Injection, Inversion of Control, etc.). Also he present the main and more advanced characteristics of several languages like C++ (modern C++ features, smart pointers, template and constexpr metaprogramming, closures in lambda expressions), Go (syntaxes, interfaces, concurrency in Go, channels), C# (DLR and dynamic typing support, C# 6, 7 and future 8 features, reference closure behavior in C#, Roslyn API, Task Parallel Library, Code Contracts, LINQ), Java (wrappers, virtual machine concepts, anonymous types), Python (dynamic type languages, duck typing, magic methods, iteration patterns, descriptors, decorators, metaprogramming), Ruby (syntaxes, blocks, modules, mixins, traits, open classes, inner DSLs), JavaScript (Prototype oriented programming), TypeScript (structural typing, overriding, transpilation vs compilation), F# (introduction to Declarative Programming Paradigm and Functional Programming, pattern matching, union types, recursion, type inference by compiler). Also he teaches an optional course: Introduction to Single Page Application Frontend Development, were we teach several languages and techs like HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript, Typescript, LESS, SASS, React and Angular Show less

While working for this company, I was part of a team in charge of developing a mobile social network app called Cronvo. I worked as front-end developer using React-Native for the app and React for the admin page. During this time I got deep insights of React Native’s animations, Redux, GraphQL and other related techs. During this period, I worked at the Biometrics Department studying 3D Face Models Synthesis from 2d images methods. As result of my research I published 2 papers summarizing the state of art of those algorithms. Also I developed several minor projects using C++, Python and C# languages, OpenCV, Agent Oriented Programming pattern, etc. During this period, I worked at the Biometrics Department studying 3D Face Models Synthesis from 2d images methods.
