All phases of the design process from feasibility to final designs, including pricing to the applicable accuracy through to contract negotiations, sub-contractor adjudications as well as project management, quality assurance and final handover.Main responsibilities include:• Designs include pollution control dams (PCD), mine infrastructure, modular sewage plants, reverse osmosis plants and general layouts including access roads and access control systems. Electrical consultant integration and specialist suppliers are all managed.• A large portion of the work is tailings dam orientated. Facilitating tailings dam designs, operational advice and surveillance monitoring are only some of the aspects related to the service offering.• Assisting in the managing of the day to day running of an opencast coal mine in the coal fields of South Africa. All operations, costing and production monitoring and communications with the client and operational employees.
