    • Channel Marketing Manager
      • Jul 2019 - Jul 2020

As the sole channel marketing manager for this segment, I am responsible for the marketing activities associated with the student and graduate space within BOQ Specialist. As a niche bank offering financial services to doctors, dentists and vets, the strategy behind the student and graduate space is to introduce our company to the latest cohort of medical/dental professionals with the aim of servicing their financial needs throughout their career. Key components of the job include management of our Facebook page – Pulse by BOQ Specialist which is exclusively aimed at students and graduates, as opposed to our LinkedIn page which is more so for established professionals. I also have to manage relevant areas of the website and ensure all product information including Terms and Conditions are up to date. I work on creating competitions, campaign development, collateral creation in InDeisgn and eDM development whilst engaging in both internal and external stakeholders. I am also responsible for the budget in this space and must ensure at all times that I am tracking along as per the forecast.I am an autonomous worker which is essential in managing my own portfolio, however, I love working in my team. We all absolutely band together to support one another so I can confidently call myself a team player.

    • Event Coordinator
      • Feb 2018 - May 2020

Within this role I liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate events for new business lead generation. We work with a large number of associations, organisations, groups and bodies with members from our niche target market. I also run our own bespoke events such as information seminars, exclusive dinner functions and workshops for our clients, which involves full end-to-end event management. Day-to-day tasks include managing the events calandar, pre and post event comms including eDMs and LinkedIn posts, budget management, working with InDesign, Adobe Campaign and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). I also frequently have to speak with our consultants to discuss new potential event opportunities and seek feedback on past events. A key factor of success in this role is time management and organisation, as I am responsible for multiple regions including Queensland, New South Wales, the ACT, South Australia and the Northern Territory. With so many states/territories and so many associations and groups to coordinate, I often have multiple events on the go making organisation skills paramount. I also require strong communication skills to be effective in my role including the ability to negotiate.

    • Cards and Payments Officer
      • May 2015 - Feb 2018

This role involved supporting the end-to-end operations of the credit card product as well as managing inward and outward payments of the bank. Each day there were set tasks/reports that needed completing, as well as the ad hoc requests from bankers that required processing. At all times, being mindful of cutoffs and deadlines to ensure all payments were processed within the required time frames was essential. Overall, this role demanded the ability to work to tight deadlines, balance varying workloads, operate and communicate effectively in a team environment and having attention to detail in (what can be at times) a stressful and fast paced environment.

    • Child Care Educator
      • Nov 2010 - May 2015

This role required me to be flexible and adaptable as being a casual/part-time child care educator involved working in a variety of rooms and with a range of age groups. Team work is essential in this position as you interdependently rely on your colleagues to work collaboratively throughout the day to maintain the routine of the room, ensure the children are kept safe and are in a comfortable learning experience filled with opportunity for growth, discovery and development. At the completion of my university studies, I became employed in a full time position in the 0-2 years room where I worked collaboratively with 2 others, including a room leader. This full time position allowed me to flourish in a team work environment where I needed to fully utilise effective communication skills.

      • Mar 2014 - May 2014

As part of my Master of Management course at the University of Sydney I, along with a team of student peers, worked with The Smith Family providing consultancy services. We were asked to conduct an initial feasibility assessment to determine potential sustainability and growth in the roll out of a successfully completed pilot program, run by TSF over the past 5 years. We we're required to conduct a macro-economic assessment, both nationally and internationally, and provide a refined delivery model (including financials) of the current program. The final report produced would be used by TSF to determine the likelihood of continuing the roll out of the program, should it be feasible; and to be used as a basis for further research. Feedback received was overwhelmingly positive and TSF staff were actually surprised by the level of detail and actual usefulness of the final report, given our 'student' status. It was an excellent experience allowing us to pragmatically apply our theoretical knowledge in real work situations needing consultancy services.

As part of the Master of Management program at the University of Sydney, I was able to work with a group of students alongside Deloitte on a project for a subject entitled Innovation and Team Work. The project required us to create a AU$50m innovation, then develop a business plan and strategy to realise our innovation. At the completion of the course, we were required to present our idea and business plan to a board of Deloitte representatives and then reflect on the subject through essay. My participation in this subject was awarded with a letter of congratulations from the Associate Dean as I was ranked 3rd in the course.
