Business, management & marketing internship (abroad)
-
Jan 2023 - Present
During my study Entrepreneurship & Retail Management, the intention was to do an internship abroad. Unfortunately, due to corona, this did not go through. Although I finished my education in 2022, in trend of the education, I will now do an internship abroad in Manhattan (New York) (United States). Here I will get more practical experience in the field and develop myself personally, both on a work and personal level. An important and beautiful experience, challenging myself to face the unknown and challenges. Show less

Sep 2022 - Dec 2022
Through HEYDAY, I have worked at various locations in Groningen and Drenthe at Rabobank. Together with my colleagues, I ensured well-functioning workstations and a neat building. Some tasks included: walking property rounds, restocking pantries, keeping office supplies in order, keeping workstations working, and placing & processing reports through the FMIS system. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to coordinate the decommissioning and relocation in Delfzijl. Here I was given responsibility for the physical execution of the work involved. Learned to take responsibility, self-confidence in myself, planning, prioritizing and directing. Show less

During my side job at the Jumbo (supermarket), I was exposed to different aspects of the store, where I was given many responsibilities. I not only worked in the regular departments, but also worked in the frozen food and dairy departments and could be called in as a cashier. Furthermore, despite my older age (21), I was able to work between 20 and 30 hours a week during my gap year. I learned to deliver good, consistent quality at all times and to be flexible in what kind of work I had to do.
