Anton, aside from being a friend and mentor to me, has truly impressed me with his academic resilience during the pandemic. He had the misfortune of starting university in a quarantined Spain, and a university that despite excellent remote education and COVID-19 measures remained very much isolated. He has, however, demonstrated that he is the personification of 'where there's a will, there's a way.' Truly, any task Anton faces, no matter how large the challenge, he will attack it from every angle before he will even think of giving up. Anyone who is lucky enough to work with Anton will learn a lot from him, and gain a friend for life.
