Social Secretary of the Erasmus and Exchange Society
-
Aug 2015 - Present
The University of Leicester Erasmus and Exchange Society (ULEES) invites both home students and International students to part-take in culturally enriching local activities and exciting English trips. With over 300 members and at least 15 local events per term, it is unsurprising that we have been awarded 'Student Group of the Year' for the third year running. Social Secretary Role involves but is not limited to: Researching unique activities which showcase what life in Leicester is all about. Booking venues, caterers and photographers for specific events. Negotiating prices to ensure that the society remains within budget and makes a profit where possible. Implement safety check and complete the necessary pieces of administration. Thorough organisation of the International Tandem Scheme which facilitates language learning in a relaxed environment. Critically reviewing each event with a view to improve member satisfaction and value for money. Promoting the society via social media platforms and physical presentations.
