Including basement parking/spa and refurbishment of the listed commonwealth institute building which will become the new home of the Design Museum.       Boulevard Central Towers, Al Futtaim Carillion, Dubai (January 2011 to Present) Traditional contract to build one 27 level and one 25 level residential tower block with podium ameneties, commercial boulevard and three level basement parking. Due to the successful hand over of the 'Lofts Project' and Anthony's close relationship with the client he was perfect candidate to take over the Boulevard Central Towers project. This was previously placed on hold in 2009 during the economic downturn. Taking full responsibility of all aspects of design on the project Anthony is a key member of the senior management team. The Lofts, Burj Dubai, Al Futtaim Carillion, Dubai (November, 2008 to April 2010) Traditional contract to build two no: 32 level and one 28 level residential tower block with a commercial boulevard and podium amenities area at low level. The project consists of large areas of curtain walling and pre-cast concrete cladding with high spec finishes throughout. Anthony is fully responsible for the design management function of the project and provides a key interface between the client, sub-contractors and site teams. Al Badia Business Park, Dubai Festival City, Al Futtaim Carillion (June, 2008 to November, 2008) Anthony joined Al Futtaim Carillion in June as Assistant Design Manager to help manage the design process on projects within the Dubai Festival City Development. He worked within the Design Management Team to set up the Al Badia Business Park project and his experience in design management proved a valuable asset to AFC, DFC and the external design teams.       Design Co-ordinator, Baltic Place, Carillion plc, Newcastle (April, 2006 to January, 2007) Due to Anthony’s ongoing development on the schools he gained the confidence to take on the sole design management function on entire projects. Anthony provided design management services on a project to deign and build 2 no 11 storey office blocks in the heart of Newcastle’s quayside area. The project was extremely challenging and involved a large amount of earthworks and retaining structures due to its close proximity to the embankments of the river Tyne, all of which had to be incorporated into an extremely tight site. This project was undertaken entirely for a private developer, working together in close co-ordination to achieve project completion within tight timescales and budgets. Assistant Design Co-ordinator, Redcar and Cleveland Schools PFI, Mowlem plc/Carillion plc, Newcastle (March, 2005 to October, 2006) Fulfilling this role Anthony was responsible for assisting in the design management function of five schools in the Redcar and Cleveland borough. The project consisted of three no: 750 pupil secondary schools and two no: 350 pupil primary schools.       Darlington Schools PFI Anthony started his career taking a contract position working for Kajima on the Darlington schools PFI. This gave Anthony a sound understanding of the design and construction processes involved in the management of large PFI projects. The project value was approx £30 million and involved the design and construct of on special needs primary and secondary schools school under the governments PFI scheme. Anthony was able to take responsibility for a number of work packages and oversee the document control and RFI processes. Show less
