Achievements during this period include: - Single domain consolidation from five separate entities, located over ten locations in Australia and New Zealand to a single Active Directory domain for 550 servers, and 1500 endpoints. - VMware vSphere consolidation and rearchitecture from seperate domains. Primarily implemented as an organisation-wide PowerShell task scheduler replacement, and to introduce a web frontend for custom written scripts utilised over multiple teams. - Achieving modern Business Continuity Planning by migrating from a legacy Commvault installation to Veeam VBR. - VMware Site Recovery Manager introduced to compliment Veeam in a Disaster Recovery scenario. - An Office 365 migration from separate on-prem Exchange servers and multiple O365 tenants into a single hybrid O365 tenant. Achieved through utilising BitTitan MigrationWiz and PowerShell scripting to automate mail flow and per domain name cutovers. The project enabled and drove the adoption of O365 SaaS offerings such as Teams, OneDrive, Planner, PowerBI. - A Citrix XenApp farm was implemented to migrate key LOB applications from local endpoint installs, driven by a requirement for several business units to better share resources and integrate with manufacturing equipment in remote sites. The project lowered workstation deployment time and backed a growing hot desk initiative for 24x7 business units.
