Teck Metals Limited is located in Trail, B.C. that is a unionized metal smelting plant. I worked in the silver and gold plant that required their workers to be safety concerned at all times. At Teck Metals I operated an overhead crane, granulator, and two burndown furnaces. Following safety policies and procedures was a must and reporting any incidents was crucial. The burndown furnaces poured out molten metal and toxic fumes, all the required proper protective equipment had to be worn at all times.
