As a Teacher, I must draw on a body of professional knowledge and research to respond to the needs of my students within their educational contexts.I am responsible for getting to know my students linguistically, culturally and religiously. I know and understand the fundamental concepts, structure and enquiry processes relevant to programs I teach. Furthermore, I understand what constitutes effective, developmentally appropriate strategies in my learning and teaching programs and use this knowledge to make the content meaningful to students.Through teaching practices, I develop students' literacy and numeracy within the Health, Physical education and Science subject areas.
