  My responsibilities include the direction, strategy, planning and execution of manufacturing and supply chain activities in support of the Global Optical Connectivity Solutions businesses. A key aspect of my duties are to develop and execute sourcing strategies and process improvement initiatives to ensure manufacturing and delivery objectives are achieved and operational efficiency is optimized. I work with a very dynamic team of supply chain professionals ranging from engineering support, procurement, production operations, quality, R&D, finance and logistics. My role is to drive the implementation of a rigorous manufacturing and supply chain infrastructure across global in-house and contract manufacturers by utilizing a lean enterprise to meet business needs and operational objectives.My most recent accomplishment involves driving the success of the supply chain initiatives for OFS in support of the fiber deployment efforts of the Australian National Broadband Network. I have complete ownership for coordinating the planning, procurement, manufacturing and logistics strategies across facilities in Asia, North and South America, Mexico and Australia. As a result of these efforts, OFS continues to experience phenomenal growth coupled with high customer satisfaction and favorable income.In addition, my involvement is critical in the direction, training and daily supply chain support for the Connectivity Division of our Tangier, Morocco operations. Over the past 2 years, I have played a similar role in driving the supply chain functions for another internal facility in Cali, Colombia.My latest endeavor is in leading all Optical Connectivity Supply Chain efforts for the ramp up of a newly constructed sister facility in northwest Mexico as Furukawa continues to broaden its existing global footprint in the Solutions arena.
