Bio
Ed Harrington, SPHR (R)
Anthony Butler was the best person performing in his job for at least 15 years. He was personally responsible for the highest sustained level of readiness achieved at his command in over 15 years. I know this because I was in charge of this unit 10 years ago, and could not achieve the readiness levels he did. He did this due to his attention to detail and ability to superbly manage a work force of over 300 people. I have observed many people in this position over the course of 15 years and he is without a doubt the best. He communicates expectations well and provides the support necessary for success.

Tony Butler worked for me from 2010-2012. As my craft’s Engineer he made multiple cost, time and material recommendations that significantly reduced craft down time and expenses. He led his subordinates in multiple repairs which are normally conducted by a shipyard. Our craft was recognized by senior managers as being the best operating craft in the region. He is constantly sought out by fellow hovercraft Engineers for advice, help, and troubleshooting recommendations. His outstanding Leadership, Mentorship, and Instructional skills have led him to be selected for a position training new hovercraft Engineers. I would feel privileged to have Tony as my craft’s Engineer in the future.
