At AMSA I am responsible for ensuring a positive school climate, primarily with grades six through eight. I work collaboratively with students, families and teachers to resolve a variety of academic and discipline issues while also serving as the district Title IX and civil rights coordinator. I also lead AMSA's crisis response team, a multi-disciplinary team of professionals tasked with ensuring adequate emergency response protocols, training and awareness of matters related to maintaining a safe school environment. I also assist and the management and supervision of general school operations and have provided updated annual staff development in areas of civil rights and physical restraint, as well as student discipline.
