The in-house senior solicitor’s role was both challenging and varied. The position involved interfacing with all Coillte divisions on a multitude of legal matters (including its panel products division in both the UK and Europe), with a primary focus on: (i) being legal team lead on Coillte’s wind farm capital projects development and its renewable energy property portfolio; (ii) property development, sales, acquisitions and leasing / licensing, to include some of the largest property transactions of the last twenty four months in the Republic of Ireland (and advices on renewable energy projects and telecommunication and mast site schemes); (iii) resolution of disputes and litigation matters and representation of Coillte as both plaintiff and defendant on a wide variety of legal actions; and (iv) commercial contract drafting, negotiation, review and conclusion of key Coillte contracts and support to the procurement team.
