During my time at the Irish Farmers Journal, I worked alongside Anthony on a number of occasions. As editor of the career and property sector of the Irish Country Living, Anthony asked for my assistance on a number of articles. I was happy to oblige Anthony when asked, as he was both supportive and respectful to me as an intern. Anthony never told me to do anything, rather asked and always showed great appreciation when the article had been completed. I enjoyed helping Anthony as he trusted me to do the job right and I never felt under any undue pressure. As well as this, Anthony was a good friend and co-worker, who always looked out for me, especially during high pressured deadlines etc. He showed great leadership and comradery. Anthony was senior to me, but never spoke down to me. I am very glad to have met and worked with Anthony, as I always had someone to turn to and knew he would do his best to help. He would definitely make a great team leader and has a fantastic way with people.

As Property and Careers Editor in the Irish Farmers Journal, I research, analyse and discuss trends in the agricultural land market and in the Irish agri-food labour force. In my time in the Irish Farmers Journal, I have overseen the Agri-Careers Expo, a recruitment/careers day in the RDS in Dublin in February 2019. The event had an attendance of over 7,000 people and 50 companies with 1,300 jobs under one roof. I have also been the Editor of two editions of the Agricultural Land Price Report, a 72 page publication giving a breakdown of the land price in Ireland as well as every county Ireland,. The report also gives a breakdown of various trends in the land market. As part of the promotion of the event, I would have conducted interviews on RTE Morning Ireland, as well as up to 20 regional radio stations. Show less
