I have recently had the pleasure of working with Anthony from We Are Ghost. Anthony was heading up the Branding and Website team at We Are Ghost for my new brand offering called Make It Happen PDQ (https://www.makeithappen-pdq.com). Anthony held our hand through the whole creative and design process from the inception of the brand design, its evolution, and finally to the entire website build. Anthony and his team were impeccable throughout the process. Along the way we learned to communicate quickly as the website build was progressing and therefore we could utilise and focus the creative minds within Anthony's team to their very best at the busy point of the build. Anthony has a talent of really getting to grips with and understanding the underlying emotions and motives behind the brand and the core message and is able to powerfully craft exactly the right words to match the necessary sentiment. Anthony was also able to take the brief and have the confidence to play with it and produce something that was far better than the brief - this is the power of imagination and the creative process and Anthony is a master of leading this process. At first glance, the creative process can seen a little like 'faffing', but this is far from the truth. What I learned is that it takes time to really get the creative juices going, but once they flow, there is no stopping a talented creative team that have learned to work together and to trust each other whilst doing so. Along the way I found that the process was so much fun as well. I am absolutely delighted with the final outcome of the brand identity and the supporting website that Anthony and the We Are Ghost Team produced - they are a great team of highly talented individuals. To this end, I have no hesitation in recommending Antony, and the We Are Ghost Team - they are awesome, so please use them - like me, you will love the results.

My key skills at ORB: • Understanding and quoting client budgets • Organising and motivating a creative team • Understanding the nurturing of loyalty in others to a project and the company • Developing the language of communication in explaining conceptual ideas • Mentoring the team of designers, illustrators, strategists and account handling team. My time at Ghost Creations was a great adventure. To start up your own business and give it all your energy and then see it thrive, was an amazing experience. As Head of Creative, I directed all conceptual and creative output, overseeing projects as diverse as marketing campaigns, branding identities and marketing strategies. I also help my team to develop creatively since we wanted a company where talent could grow. Our clients were mainly international brands and regional businesses, so my role would involve initial meetings with clients, establish the requirements of the project, conceptualising our approach from the brief and then develop those ideas with my team. A few client projects I have worked on: • Curver (Global) – Full service • Daimler-Chrysler (UK) – National dealer events marketing • Masterlock – In-store marketing • Busy Bees Nurseries – Full service My time at Ghost Creations was wonderful, but I felt a need for the next chapter in my career, so with a heavy heart I left Ghost Creations. As the Senior Designer, I was also creatively involved in all aspects of the agency output, while guiding the studio to improved creative output and productivity. The work ranged was varied, but included brand identifies, catalogues, advertising for print, campaigns for product launches and annual reports. My role also involved branding various TV programmes. A highlight for me was being complimented by the TV host Gordon Burns about the overall design for his new game show 'A Word In Your Ear'. Sadly, the show didn't get past it's first series on BBC One. Show less

Graphic Designer Internship

Jun 1990 - Sep 1990
In its day, Stonewall Productions were the main (possibly only) TV and film production company in Birmingham. Based in the JQ, Stonewall where heavily involved in editing and title sequence production for both TV and the film industry. I remember being sat watching them working; editing top secret TV shows, news idents and independent films, thinking how scary it looked and how much I wanted to be part of it. For two months I did very little work, but learnt loads during my internship. In its day, Stonewall Productions were the main (possibly only) TV and film production company in Birmingham.
