As an Electrician Apprentice I was learning to become a professional, or journeyman/wireman, electrician. This was done through both extensive hands-on training in the installation of electrical systems, and college coursework in electrical theory. I was also trained in electrical code, motor controls, PLC as well an understanding of blueprint reading. With the help of the IBEW and NJATC I graduated a (5) year apprentice program that prepared me to become a proud member of the IBEW Local 701 workforce.
