I was a Team Lead at Entelect. Through this role I managed a team of Entelect people on site at the client, which was a large telecommunications company. From the clients perspective I was acting as a scrum master, working closely with my product owner to deliver great value, and from Entelect's perspective managing the account and the people on the ground. My day to day work involved being a scrum master for one of the feature teams here at Vodacom, where we were involved in building a payments solution that they would be able to offer to clients as a service. At the same time I managed the Entelect employees to make sure they were properly looked after from a career and management perspective. My focus was on their well being by running reviews, providing career guidance and advice and keeping them happy.I also worked as a senior business analyst for a previous client at another telecommunications company, helping them to design, build and deploy a new sales solution for use in store. I wrote all the user stories, and ensured that the product being built was what the client actually needed. I also helped on testing, both in house and in front of end users, where we ran user groups to test new features. I worked closely with the product owner and other stakeholders.

I continued to work with Own your Life Rewards through the decommissioning of this project. Whilst doing this, I assisted Liberty on many other projects, including looking at how they currently operated their retentions process and looking at ways to improve this. I also looked at modifying certain backend systems in Liberty to take into account new rulings that affected life insurance policies and early termination penalties. Later in the year, I worked on a new rewards and investment project for Liberty. My role involved running a team of developers to build a website for the program. The website was mainly around a new rewards platform, which had functionality to allow users to sign up, initiate investments, read information and to get certain rewards around education.

My main focus of work involved designing and developing a financial modelling tool for our clients in the mining sector. The tool has been used to generate cost profiles for the life of the mine and allows for a multitude of scenarios to be tested against each other. My role included writing and translating functional specifications.I also perform consulting work by constructing and analysing models for various clients, and these have ranged from modelling the labour requirements to production profile modelling.Modelling is done mainly with our in-house software package, but I have also extensively used MS SQL, C# and R to perfrom analyses.
