Watching Sgt Foronda present at my first pre-dental symposium at CSUEB gave me hope that I would be able get into dental school and achieve a scholarship that would provide me the financial stability I needed to support myself. It was a 2 year process due to certain conditions that needed to be met, getting into dental school and submitting the proper documents, and he had supported me throughout the entire process. There was an endless amount of paperwork that needed upkeeping, and Anthony's organization skills had made more simple to process everything that was required of me. With his leadership and clear communication, he became a reliable mentor who checked on me every month to ensure that I was on top of my applications. By 2020 January, with the help of Anthony, I was selected for the HPSP scholarship and received my first acceptance letter to UoP Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Thanks to my mentor, I took the first step into achieving my dental dream and becoming an independent adult thanks to the scholarship which provided a full ride to my dream school.
