For the past 4 summers, I have been a wrestling instructor and camp counselor for middle school and high school wrestlers at Appalachian State's wrestling summer camps. Helping these kids grow in the sport they love and mentoring them for weeks is the most rewarding aspect of the position. I have learned valuable leadership and communication skills as well while being in charge of hundreds of kids at a time.
