I am personally responsible for our cars from the moment a car rolls into the shop as a "Donor Car" until the moment it leaves our shop after it is sold out-of-house. Day-to-day responsibilities include performance scaling and chassis alignment, dynamometer tuning, as well as pre/post event preparation and service. As a Motorsports Technician with Advanced Autosports, I also travel to events across the country between racing events. Advanced Autosports runs events primevally within the Sports Car Club Of America, which is a sanctioning body for wheel-to-wheel road racing. It is not unusual for me to work 10 weeks straight, a large portion of which is on the road, traveling between tracks as far north as Road America and as far south as Sebring International Raceway. Second only to the owner of the company, I am the lead supervisor at the shop and at these events. I am responsible for both loading and stocking our trailers which carry every part needed to maintain and repair a Spec Miata at the track. It is also my responsibility to keep track of parts sales and ensure that the trailers remain appropriately stocked throughout the season which runs from March until November. Upon arrival at the track, I usually assign individual crew member responsibilities as we begin to setup for the weekend. A general summary of my at-track responsibilities range from things as simple as setting, adjusting, and maintaining tire pressure, and procedures as complicated as repairing crash damage as quickly as possible to prevent our customers from missing a "session." I am known as Advanced Autosport's "Go-To Guy" at the track for everything from parts to advice. My outgoing personality radiates positivity and had made me a favorite among our customers and the Spec Miata community. Show less
