It was my privilege to work with Anthony De La Cruz, Systems Analyst, at Anthem within the Regulatory Compliance and Reporting team. Anthony exhibits the utmost professionalism and integrity, enthusiasm for the job, strong technical knowledge, and exceptional organization and communications skills. He is highly regarded and respected by his coworkers. The reporting team benefited greatly by Anthony’s drive and initiative. In addition to handling his own projects with accuracy and timeliness, Anthony voluntarily completed activities to assist the entire team. He set up Microsoft Teams ahead of the organization-wide deployment of the application in order that our team could have time to utilize the tools and become proficient ahead of the scheduled release. Anthony was instrumental in the team’s transition to an Agile development methodology, creating Enterprise Jira dashboards that enabled the team to plan and track project initiations, backlog, workloads, and statuses. Anthony would be an asset to any company and I give my highest recommendation.

It is with great pleasure that I submit this letter of recommendation for Anthony De La Cruz. Anthony worked for me as a Systems Analyst on my team within the Regulatory Compliance Reporting department at Anthem, Inc. from August 2019 to July 2020. During this period of time his primary responsibilities were as the customer facing resource for the gathering of business/product requirements for regulatory reports, working with software engineers for report development, testing the reports, moving reports to production, and ongoing maintenance of reports. He was required to be familiar with numerous databases to perform this work. These activities were done initially within a waterfall environment and then in an Agile environment using Kanban methodology. He performed these functions with great success. Anthony has terrific customer service skills and great aplomb in managing customer expectations especially when dealing with senior customer associates, including health plan presidents. Finally, Anthony did not hesitate to volunteer for project work outside the scope of his normal responsibilities. This contributed to improving operations within the entire department, not just my team. In summary, Anthony was a great asset to my team and was respected by both his team members and those outside our team. He would be a superb addition to any organization.
