The major focus of this role is producing bespoke solutions for the MEX application, creating interfaces and multi-platform applications to integrate with other software packages and providing high level support to end users. A large part of the role was to create interfaces that transferred data between MEX and financial software (Dynamics AX, JDE, Navision, MYOB, SAP). This has provided extensive experience with web services, MS SQL Server, Oracle SQL, C# and VB.NET. The major part of this position is speaking with clients to analyse their current business practices and work closely with them to make adjustments to the business logic of MEX. This involves customising the MEX code base (written in VB.NET, C#, Javascript, html5, css, kendoUI) to tailor the software to the requirements of each client. Often reports/KPIs to match these custom changes would be required, the creation of these gave further experience with large relational-databases and MS SQL. Show less

An essential role in supporting the MEX Maintenance Software through its later stages of development and growth. This role entailed speaking over the phone and connecting remotely to offer advice, guidance and technical support to end users and IT teams for all aspects of the product. From assisting with the creation of maintenance schedules and other data entry required for the initial setup of the software. To large scale data imports via MS SQL Server, debugging the MEX code base (Visual Basic .NET, C#) and configuring MS Server 2003 - MS Server 2012. A major part of this role at the time was the management of the Web Hosting services MEX provides. This involved backing up 200+ SQL databases and the setup of the same amount of IIS applications. Managing the hosted services provided great experience in new cloud service technology and working on servers catering for large usage of multiple applications. Show less
