  When my role as a meteorologist transferred to a remote research position due to Covid-19, I continued my work on the Observatory's Historic Temperature Dataset project. My tasks included cross checking 86 years of daily and hourly temperature values across multiple databases and mediums, classifying inconsistencies, and compiling metadata from station records and National Weather Service documentation. I frequently collaborated with members of the project's team, attended regular virtual meetings, and trained other researchers to perform validation procedures. This position ended upon successful completion and submission of the project.

• Weather Observer / Research Specialist

  As a meteorologist living and working on the summit of Mt. Washington, I had a wide variety of duties to ensure the continuous operation and success of the weather station. Some of my main duties included hourly observation and transmission of meteorological elements, preparing and disseminating local forecasts, training interns and volunteers, and maintaining weather instrumentation in often hazardous conditions. I also began my work on the Historic Temperature Dataset project, a sweeping examination of the Observatory's 86 year temperature record.

  I supervised activities and sales in the Observatory's summit museum and gift shop, trained interns on museum operations, managed cash registers and log sheets, interacted with guests and facilitated new memberships for the organization.
