Medical Scribe

May 2018 - Present
While scribing in a cardiology office with a cardiologist and at a Health and Rehabilitation center with a physiatry physician assistant, I have witnessed a holistic view of medical disease and cases from presentation to diagnosis to treatment. I gather information form the patient including HPI, ROS, family and social history, surgical history, and drug allergies in order to best assist the physician/PA in providing the best care. I have learned how to read and create charts, determine lab results, and read certain CTS and x-rays while gaining a wealth of knowledge on how how to be an effective future PA. Show less

As a medical scribe in an electroyphysiologist's office, my job was to enhance the outpatient and clinic experience for both the patients and the physicians by documenting the medical history, physical exam and diagnostic results of the patient's stay. Working with Dr. Paul Gerczuk has taught me how to take a history of patients from head to toe.
