My partner and I founded Hyperion in July 2015 to develop a technology that could physically digitize large high voltage assets. It took us a couple of years but we developed the technology and we were very fortunate that one Utility (Elexicon) trusted us enough to deploy our technology in one of their power transformers. This went live in 2018 and since then more people have started to believe in us. In 2019, a second Utility (Alectra) decided to deploy our technology to monitor underground cable and the results were an eye opener not just for them but for a number of other utilities too.Since then we have PHYSICALLY digitized a number of other assets and created REAL digital twins - most digital twins are created from models but ours is created from real measured values from across the length, the breadth and the depth of each asset. The Naysayers far outnumbered the supporters both from within the industry and from outside - so it has been a tough but rewarding experience! The more the industry resists the more we are convinced we're on the right path!

Learnt that an education didn't really mean you knew anything. Strong mentors who have "worked" is what you really need to develop - thank you Keith Clement!
