To coordinate English daily activities within the site in order to provide the best quality possible to all DCE stu- dents. All these activities must follow the English Program policies and teacher by-laws ▪ To prepare, proctor and correct the placement tests of each session ▪ To create an estimation of the number of courses to be taught in the following period. This estimation considers some specific factors: a. Number of students who are already into the program & continue having English the following session b. Students who fail or leave c. New students ▪ To provide optimal customer service to the students during the selection of their courses so that they can have their level, schedule and course clear before classes start, by providing the necessary information about the Eng- lish Program so that these students are acquainted with the program ▪ To enlarge the amount of instructors according to the program’s needs and to keep a highly qualified level of staff members . To ensure that all quizzes, mid-term exams, final exams are appropriate for their corresponding levels and given in the stated dates for all courses and sections according to the English Program calendar ▪ To supervise instructor evaluations personally in all classes and prepare reports to be discussed with DCE Direc- tor at a later stage ▪ To receive complaints from students and takes appropriate action ▪ To take instructors’ suggestions and develop corresponding courses of action ▪ To hold weekly meetings to discuss the observations of the session, weak students and exam results ▪ To amend the syllabi and ensure the use of the Audio and DVD labs ▪ To organize new programs with Anglophone schools Show less
