      • Aug 2015 - Present

In August 2015, I joined OPM Group in Leeds as ESKO Repro-Operator on full time permanent basis. My job involves creating repro/print ready files using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop for flexo print process for sachets, flow-wraps, pouches and various types of labels. I also build and manage workflows in ESKO AE Pilot on daily basis. At OPM, my main role is creating peel and read labels and liaising with printers on the press, because of the complexity of the job. I am also responsible for Pre-Flighting any jobs prior to being repro’d. As part of my daily role, I also get very busy retouching images for all kind of artworks. At busy times, because of my IT and Admin skills, I work as a relief by managing the Repro team by organising work in the department. I also get involved dealing directly with the clients and customers with all types of enquiries regarding the accounts. Show less

I initially started working as a Senior Studio Operator on a full time permanent basis at Matthews Brand Solutions in Cleckheaton in the Pharmaceutical Department, since August 2009. At Matthews Brand Solutions my main role is to create artwork and repro ready files for AstraZeneca (AZ), before the work is submitted to QC and making sure the work is out before the print deadline. I have to directly deal with the client and printers with all types of enquiries regarding AstraZeneca account. I not only manage artwork but I also have responsibility for leading the team and also booking in jobs prior to doing artwork to ensure that relative files are in order for production for the team. I like to attend business meetings on regular basis to address any issues regarding production and to make sure it get resolved. My recent role includes working in the AkzoNobel account as Template Developer, where I create artworks for Dulux, Sikkens, Procolor and many other paint brands in Chili which is an online web application. My job is to insert variables in the artwork where this helps the content for the artwork to be placed from Content Management System (CMS). This process is done using Mobius (Automated Process), where the application uses the chili template created and pulls content for CMS database. As well as working as Template Developer, I moved onto doing Brand Manager’s role, where I create artwork in Illustrator and Indesign. I also get busy to generate artwork working using legacy files or supplied files and working with guidelines and saving them as Illustrator eps and place them in Indesign application. The Indesign file is then imported into Chili by the Template Developer to work from. I also help out with accounts such as Merck (Pharmaceutical account) and Ferrero account, when they get very busy. Show less
