I teach English Language and Language Arts for three levels of English language learners within a Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol. Sullivan is the Newcomer Center for refugees and new immigrants to Chicago Public Schools. Under the leadership of Sarah Quintenz (Chicago Magazine, "Welcome to Refugee High"), our EL Department works with refugee and other Chicago organizations to create a supportive and welcoming learning environment to meet our students' unique needs.
