It is with a great deal of pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Annmarie Obligacion. I first met Annmarie when she was going through her New Member process, and was impressed from the start with her ability to brighten the room and get immediately involved. She impressed me so much with her demeanor during her first semester that I quickly realized she would be a great leader in Alpha Phi. She was an exceptional student, person, and leader. During the years that I have known her, Annmarie has never failed to approach her positions with a laughing smile and a positive attitude. She is always respectful in meetings, listening to suggestions, and also being attentive to the comments of her fellow sisters and officers. I continuously count on her to eagerly participate in every event, committee, and task, and she has shown herself especially adept at offering insights in our Executive Board discussions, Chapter meetings, and department activities. In an organization where leadership is a daily struggle, it was both refreshing and comforting to have Annmarie serve as an officer in Alpha Phi. In her leadership positions, Annmarie always took initiative, worked with her advisers, challenged her fellow chapter members, and made a difference. Annmarie has also shown herself capable of balancing several important priorities in her life, ranging from schoolwork to extracurricular activities to a full-time job. Annmarie has taken on numerous positions within the Chapter and the Pacific Greek system including: Director of Formal Recruitment, Panhellenic Delegate, MAP, and Vice President of Public Relations on Panhellenic, and now as an Alumna, she has taken on the Advisory role of Alumnae Relations Advisor/Coordinator; allowing her to show her abilities as a student and leader. Balancing all these positions, her academics and work, and being successful in all of them, shows that Annmarie not only enjoys challenging herself, but also is intelligent and mature enough to schedule her time well to include success in all interests. Over the years, Annmarie has proved that she deserves my utmost respect and gratitude, and I would happily recommend her for absolutely anything.
