Carbon Literacy Trainer

As part of The Carbon Literacy Project, every person living or working in Manchester is entitled to one day worth of carbon literacy training. I am currently delivering observed sessions, in which I lead as well as co-trainer with another student trainer groups through activities that focus on climate change and actions they can do to reduce it. My role includes preparing the room for the session e.g. setting up visual aids, going through the Carbon Literacy presentation adding my own knowledge and making sure that everyone meets the criteria for receiving his or her carbon literacy certificate.

As a Caffe Nero barista, my job is to ensure every customer that comes in the store is happy and likely to return. To do this there are a number of tasks involved, these include keeping the cafe and bar clean, making drinks at a high standard that fit in with the Nero way, correct till use, pleasant service and knowledge of the products. I have also completed training and ran shifts as a shift leader. This means taking on extra roles such as dealing with complaints, dealing with governing bodies such as health and safety inspectors, cashing up, faxing reports, contacting other stores for stock and keeping up a correspondence with the area manager as well as aiding the training of new staff.
