      Essential Duties of a CIEE-SL Santiago Alumni Intern are  Assist in planning out the semester in consultation with CIEE staff and preparing the semester program guide.  Planning and executing student group/facilitation skill building activities during orientation.  Improve learning process; facilitate smoother student engagement and comprehension in community.  Assist the program in challenging traditional roles and assumptions of US-DR lenses from a peer/cohort perspective by assisting the RD in incorporating the Resources for Ongoing Orientation (ROO) into the course content.  Serve as Community Liaisons: expand the ability of the program to check-in with communities and students. Strengthen program-community relationships, student support, and serve to network all CIEE partner organizations.  Serve as Teaching Assistants: conduct and facilitate all workshops, reflections and debriefs for integrated Community Advocacy Internship course.  Serve as project liaison for Independent Research and Capstone Project course.  Incorporate student participation in program tasks to improve program outreach and promotion through media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, program newsletter and blog.  Stretch vision and reach of partner organizations and program network/marketing possibilities.  Documenting all activities with students and quality of relationships with communities.
