  As a Student Chaplain here at Berea College, I provide the campus with peer counseling, pastoral care, and spiritual guidance. I am currently working within a girl's freshman dorm where I am involved in creating different programs to generate spiritual awareness and conversations. I also provide a safe space for my residents to come and talk to me about any personal issues or questions that they may be facing. I help the freshman adapt to the Berea College lifestyle, as well as being on their own for their very first time. Around campus, I am involved in creating campus-wide programs to include the spiritual component of the campus'​ health. I am involved in helping plan chapel services, creating safe study environment and helping out the community through community service and fundraising for Starfish International. I serve as a tool to help guide my fellow peers to different resources around campus.

  My main job as a Health and Human Performance Teacher's Assistant (TA) is helping out professors and students enrolled in the classes with any task that is needed. I help professors within the classroom by handing out papers, grading homework, exams and quizzes, printing, copying, engaging the students and helping with group work or partner activities when there is an odd number of students within the classroom. Outside of class time I help the students with their projects and homework assignments as well as answering any questions they might have in regards to exams and the class in general.

  At the CDL I worked in a classroom of four-year-olds and one-year-olds. I served as a teacher's assistant, helping the teacher with a range of tasks, such as implementing lesson plans, arts and crafts, creating a safe environment for the children to play and learn, recess duty, snack time prep, putting the children to sleep for nap time, and creating activities for cognitive development. I also worked as a janitor while at the CDL. For this position, I cleaned the building to make sure that all the children had a clean, safe environment where their parents did not have to worry about them getting sick. I dusted, vacuumed, mopped, wiped down all surfaces and cleaned the classroom and hallway toys. I helped with odd-end tasks, such as running the front desk when needed, answering phone calls, checking in visitors, helping within the kitchen, cleaning the barn out and preparing the conference room for meetings.

  Worked within the Cafe where I helped trained new employees, filed inventory, helped with inventory orders, made a range of different appetizers, desserts, and entrees. I was trained as a barista, where I created different coffee drinks and fruit smoothies. I worked many Friday and Saturday nights as a waitress, helping upstairs during special events. I also helped at the Front Desk for when members had questions and needed any assistance out on the ice rink. I worked birthday parties and different summer/winter/fall camps, where I was in charge of keeping the children entertained and under control. We did a variety of events, such as ice skating, team building exercises, relay races, arts and crafts and floor hockey.
